Sara Weinfeld, M.S.W., L.M.S.W. is a licensed clinical social worker with extensive knowledge and experience working with children, adolescents and families. Her areas of speciality include anxiety, depression, ADHD, social skills, peer difficulties, self esteem and behavioral challenges. Sara uses evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, strengths based approach and client-centered therapy. Sara strives to help clients build the resiliency to face life’s challenges in an environment that is supportive and empathetic.
Sara has many years of experience providing mental helath therapy and support in a school setting. She also has worked at an overnight summer camp as a clinical social worker and has facilitated group work focusing on social skills for children.
Sara received her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Michigan State University. She then received a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan with an emphasis on clinical work with children and families.
In her free time, Sara enjoys spending time outdoors, attending country concerts, and spending time with her friends and family.
