Is your child or teen grieving the loss of a loved one? Has your child experienced a trauma? Are you concerned they might be struggling to cope?
Children and teens can experience grief, loss and trauma in many different ways. Some are open with their emotions and are capable to express them verbally and through their play. Some kids may act out, display anger or cry frequently. Some might hold their emotions inside of them and not share what they are feeling with anyone.
Our team of compassionate and caring therapists are experienced and highly trained with empathic approaches to support children and teens with grief and trauma. We work with parents to gain an understanding of where the child is developmentally and emotionally so they know how to help their child. We identify strengths in the child and guide families in with ways to build coping strategies, process feelings and foster resiliency.
