Melissa (Missy) Katcher, M.S.W., L.M.S.W., is a licensed clinical social worker who brings 15 years of experience helping adolescents, young adults, and parents reach their goals and overcome challenging life experiences. With her warm and empathic nature, Missy creates a comfortable atmosphere where you can learn and grow.

Missy’s goal is to create an individualized strategy that meets your unique needs. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, communication, self-esteem, parenting, stress, and building a healthy work/life balance.

As Missy works with you to reach your specific goals, she uses a variety of evidence-based practices to help you develop the skills and strategies that will allow you to succeed. She empowers you to take charge of your own mental health by implementing techniques and strategies using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, strengths-based therapy, and art and play therapy.

Missy is a proud mother of three. In her free time, she enjoys art, music, nature, and spending time with her family. Prior to joining the staff at CFSC, Missy worked to provide programs and support services for at-risk youth and their families in the Wayne-Westland area. Missy earned her Master of Social Work from Wayne State University.
