Lindsey Gehlhausen, M.S.W., L.M.S.W.

Lindsey Gehlhausen, M.S.W, L.M.S.W.,  is a licensed clinical social worker who believes that healing begins in a safe, supportive space where clients feel truly heard and understood. She is passionate about helping children, families, and individuals navigate life’s challenges while building stronger, healthier relationships.

Lindsey has extensive experience working with young children and their families, with a focus on supporting emotional regulation, attachment, and healthy development. She values partnering with caregivers to strengthen relationships and create nurturing environments where children can thrive. In addition to her work with young children, Lindsey provides therapy for adolescents and adults, helping clients of all ages build coping skills, foster resilience, and achieve meaningful change.

Her background includes providing therapy and crisis support in school settings, where she helped students manage anxiety, depression, trauma, and everyday stressors that impact learning and relationships. Lindsey is also dedicated to connecting families with resources, advocating for their needs, and helping remove barriers to stability and success.

In her clinical work, Lindsey draws from evidence-based approaches including Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Trauma-Focused Care, Motivational Interviewing, and Infant Mental Health practices. She strives to meet each client where they are, recognize their strengths, and support personal growth and healing.

Lindsey earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Wayne State University.

Outside of her work, Lindsey enjoys film photography, listening to music and adding to her record collection, attending workshops at the Detroit Institute of Arts, visiting art museums, exploring art fairs and shows, going for walks, and expressing her creativity through fashion. She also loves anime, listening to Radiolab, and reading.
