Julia Dudewicz, M.A., L.P.C., is a licensed professional counselor with experience working with diverse populations of children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. She believes in taking a holistic and person-centered approach to her work with clients and enjoys helping people deepen their insight into themselves as they make positive changes in their lives. Julia brings expertise working with clients addressing trauma, depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, ADHD, anger and stress management, communication, identity, self-confidence, and relationship issues.
Julia believes that the foundation of effective therapy lies in the strength of the therapeutic relationship. She often integrates elements from different treatment modalities including CBT, TFCBT, DBT skills, and EMDR. Julia brings authenticity and genuineness to her therapeutic approach and strives to build trusting, collaborative relationships with her clients.
Julia completed her graduate studies at Central Michigan University with active involvement in research, conference presentations, and writing for journal publications. She also holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. Julia began her career as a therapist working with families and children impacted by trauma in metro Detroit. While Julia’s clinical focus has expanded over the years, she continues to bring a trauma-focused lens to her work.
In her free time, Julia enjoys spending time with her husband and cat, cooking, listening to and playing music, and tending to her many plants.
