Jamie Silverman, M.A., L.P.C. is a licensed professional counselor who brings extensive training and experience working with children, adolescents, young adults (particularly around career, life, and relationship pressures), and families. Jamie has been a practicing therapist for over 13 years. Known for her warmth and passion for making a difference in the lives of others, Jamie has a strong ability to help her clients navigate the often overwhelming challenges life presents. Whether it’s anxiety, depression, ADHD, social skills, family changes, school difficulties, or everyday stressors, Jamie strives to create a safe, supportive space while using a wide variety of therapeutic approaches. She incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), play therapy, executive functioning coaching, mindfulness strategies, strengths-based approaches, and client-centered therapy.
Jamie received her master’s degree in clinical psychology and counseling from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Indiana University. In her free time, Jamie enjoys staying active by playing tennis, traveling, and spending time with family, including her young daughter and puppy.
