Dominic Landini, M.S.W., L.M.S.W., is a licensed social worker who works with children, adolescents and families. He prides himself on creating a comfortable therapeutic environment that supports clients in growing and practicing skills that will help navigate their social, emotional, and psychological needs. Dominic primarily works with children ages 6 and over. He has experience meeting the social and emotional needs of adolescents, young adults and families. Dominic utilizes the principles of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), as well as mindfulness, motivational interviewing and additional evidence-based strategies to address the individualized needs of his clients. He has worked in a variety of settings and communities within the Detroit and metro-Detroit area including school, residential, and home-based. He specializes in the areas of anxiety, depression, self-esteem deficits, social skill training, oppositional and defiant behavior, bullying, parenting strategies and trauma.
Dominic utilizes many kinds of practices but most importantly believes in the relationship between the therapist and child/family being where everything starts. Trust, comfortability, communication, and safety is always needed to get the growth that all involved can be proud.
Dominic is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Psychology. He received his Masters of Social Work from Wayne State University. Additionally, Dominic is a certified school social worker in the State of Michigan and additionally works in the public schools.
