Courtney Fine, M.A., L.P.C is a licensed professional counselor and nationally certified counselor who works with children, adolescents, adults and families. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in serving culturally diverse populations, inner city youth, and has worked in a multitude of settings including outpatient, community, inpatient residential treatment, and schools. Courtney utilizes evidenced based strategies and approaches including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), play therapy, supportive therapy, skill building and art therapy techniques. Her areas of specialty include anxiety, mood disorders, behavioral challenges, severe trauma and abuse, foster care and adoption, adjustment issues, anger management, substance abuse, defiance, self-esteem, family dynamics, and parenting strategies.
Courtney’s warm and empathetic nature enables her to establish strong therapeutic rapport and promote positive and healthy change. She has a true passion for advocacy and takes great pride in making a difference in the lives of others.
Courtney is a New Jersey native and spent her formative years in Michigan. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Michigan University. Courtney is a professional member of the American Counseling Association. In her free time, Courtney, enjoys spending time outdoors, drawing, traveling, quality time with family, and animal advocacy and rescue.
