Andrea Buschbacher, M.S., L.L.P.C.

Andrea Buschbacher, M.S., L.L.P.C., is a limited licensed professional counselor who specializes in working with children, adolescents, parents, and adults.  She will be joining the CFSC team in January of 2024. Andrea is experienced in the assessment and treatment of adjustment issues, anxiety (including social anxiety), behavioral challenges, depression, grief and loss, trauma, and managing stress.

During her internship, Andrea provided services to children and families in an outpatient community setting. She gained formal training in trauma-focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing. During her master’s program, she was trained in  various play therapy techniques under the guidance of a registered play therapist. In her approach, she utilizes CBT, mindfulness while often integrating art and music in therapy for creative expression. Andrea is a compassionate counselor providing a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to share honestly and work toward their goals.

Andrea earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Gonzaga University. She obtained her Master of Science in Counselor Education from Eastern Washington University.. Andrea is in the process of completing hours required for full licensure in the State of Michigan, and practices under the direct supervision of a supervision certified licensed professional counselor.

Andrea enjoys spending time with her family and children, playing her guitar and singing, listening to music, and painting. Andrea was born and raised in the state of Washington, and enjoys spending time in nature and near bodies of water. She is also a coffee connoisseur.
