Michelle Spikes, M.S.W., L.C.S.W.

Michelle Spikes, M.S.W., L.C.S.W., is a licensed clinical social worker specializing in children, adolescents and families. She has over eighteen years of experiencing working in outpatient settings, home based programs and as a director of a residential treatment center in Texas. Michelle’s focus areas include the assessment and treatment of depression, anxiety, behavior, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and adjustment issues.

Michelle utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Trust Based Relational Interventions (TBRI), play therapy and various other strength-based approaches. Michelle is known for her empathic approach and use of humor to create an environment that promotes healing and change for her clients.

Michelle served in clinical and program leadership positions throughout her career. She has led numerous trainings on attachment, trauma, grief and loss, managing difficult behaviors and increasing social skills. She is dedicated to continuing her education to best serve her clients and pursues opportunities to further enhance her skills. Michelle earned her Bachelor of Social Work and Master’s in Social Work from Wayne State University In her free time Michelle enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with her family.
