Karie Glide, M.S.W., L.M.S.W.

Karie Glide, M.S.W., L.M.S.W., is a licensed social worker and registered play therapist. She works with children and families to create a supportive environment to grow, reflect, and connect social-emotional needs. She primarily works with children ages six and over with a focus on emotional awareness, emotional regulation, and communication. Karie has been practicing for over ten years in a variety of settings with a focus on under-served communities.

Karie utilizes many kinds of practices working with kids and families including Trust-Based Relational Intervention, TraumaPlay, Play Therapy, and Child-Centered Play Therapy. Most of all, she believes in the relationship between the therapist and child/family to create trust and safety in the in therapy setting whether it is in an office or virtual.

Karie received her B.S.W .from Madonna University alongside a B.A. in Sign Language Studies. She received her M.S.W. from University of Illinois at Chicago with a focus in Community Health and Urban Development. Since then she has worked with underrepresented communities including the Deaf community, HIV/AIDS community, low socio-economic status communities, and perinatal community.
