Julie Ponce, M.S.W., L.M.S.W

Julie Ponce, M.S.W.,  L.M.S.W. is a licensed clinical social worker specializing in children, adolescents, young adults, and families. She has over a decade of experience working with children and families within their homes, schools, and communities. Julie strives to provide a strengths-based client-centered approach in helping individuals overcome adversity and build resiliency.

Julie specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma, attachment issues, adjustment struggles, social skills, behavioral challenges, and interpersonal/family issues. She uses an integrated approach combining evidence-based practices when supporting individuals and families. Her clinical work has focused on providing intensive family-centered treatment.  She works with children ages five and over. These interventions include but are not limited to cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based treatment. Julie has worked in a variety of settings serving families including child protective services and juvenile probation.

Julie received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the Indiana University School of Social Work. Her Master’s degree focused on mental health and addictions work, while her undergraduate work focused on child welfare. In addition to her clinical work, Julie has the pleasure of teaching social work courses for her alma mater, Indiana University.
