Jillian Gismondi, M.A., L.P.C.

Jillian Gismondi, M.A. is a licensed professional counselor and nationally certified counselor who has over a decade of experience serving children, adolescents, adults and families in outpatient settings. She also serves as the professional development lead for our practice. Areas of specialty include anxiety, ADHD, depression, blended families, emotional challenges, defiance, self esteem and adjustment concerns. She practices evidenced based strategies and approaches including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), supportive therapy and skill building. Additionally, she has extensive experience with school collaboration helping guide parents and schools with effective interventions and accommodation plans.

Jillian has provided trainings in communicating with teens, bridging the generation gap and creative therapy approaches for clients with ADHD. She is known for her great empathy, use of humor and ability to connect in a way that promotes change.

Jillian received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Albion College and her master’s degree in counseling from Oakland University. She pursued and gained additional post graduate training with a mental health specialization from Oakland University. She is a member of CHADD, a national organization supporting those with ADHD. In her free time, Jillian, enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Jillian is currently accepting new referrals and will be working Tuesday through Friday and every other Saturday in our office. She offers early morning, late afternoon and evening appointments to accommodate her clients schedules.
