Lindsay Peterson, M.S.W., L.C.S.W is a licensed clinical social worker specializing in work with children, adolescents, and adults. Lindsay is experienced in the treatment of ADHD, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, stress management, and parent coaching. Prior to coming to CFSC in 2022, she worked for several years as an outpatient therapist in a child and adolescent program within a community mental health center.
Lindsay uses a client-centered approach and believes that the heart of meaningful therapy begins with a genuine and trusting relationship. Lindsay trusts that her clients are the experts on their lives and she works to create a safe and non-judgmental environment for her clients to explore their goals at their own pace. She recognizes that no two clients are the same and utilizes a variety of different evidence-based approaches including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Play Therapy, Exposure Therapy, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused techniques, among other approaches.
Lindsay received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from the University of Toledo. Her master’s degree was focused on working with children and families. In her free time, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her family, trying new recipes, and reading.
