Courtney Fine, M.A., L.P.C

Courtney Fine, M.A., L.P.C., is a licensed professional counselor and nationally certified counselor who works with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in serving culturally diverse populations, at-risk youth, and has worked in a multitude of settings including outpatient, community, inpatient residential treatment, and schools.

Courtney views therapy as a collaborative process in which clients are the experts of their own experiences. She takes a strengths-based approach, empowering clients to uncover their resilience, build skills, and work toward meaningful goals. By drawing from evidence-based strategies and approaches including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), play therapy, supportive therapy, skill building, and art therapy techniques, Courtney tailors her work to meet the unique needs of each client.

Her areas of specialty include anxiety, OCD, mood disorders, behavioral challenges, complex trauma, foster care and adoption, adjustment issues, anger management, substance abuse, ADHD, defiance, self-esteem, family dynamics, and parenting strategies. Beyond the therapy room, Courtney believes in advocating for her clients and supporting them in navigating challenges at school, within their families, and in their communities—ensuring that the work done in therapy translates into empowerment in daily life.

Courtney’s warm and empathetic nature enables her to establish strong therapeutic rapport and promote positive and healthy change. She has a true passion for advocacy and takes great pride in making a difference in the lives of others.

A New Jersey native who spent her formative years in Michigan, Courtney received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan–Ann Arbor and her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Michigan University. She is a professional member of the American Counseling Association. In her free time, Courtney enjoys spending time outdoors, drawing, traveling, quality time with family, and animal advocacy and rescue.
