Sheri Pickover, Ph.D., L.P.C. is a Licensed Professional Counselor with thirty years of experience providing treatment to children, teens and families in the Southeastern Michigan area. Dr. Pickover specializes in family therapy, behavior therapy, play therapy and attachment therapy. She is very experienced in treating a variety of concerns in children, including attachment disorders, anxiety, behavior, depression, trauma, attention deficit disorder and mild autism. She has served as clinical director of the counseling center at University of Detroit and currently is an associate professor and program director at Central Michigan University training future providers. She worked in the child welfare field for twenty years helping reunify families struggling with complicated issues. Additionally, Dr. Pickover has authored and published several scholarly journal articles in the field of counseling.
Originally from New York, NY, Dr. Pickover has lived in Michigan for many years. She earned her PhD in Counseling from Oakland University, her Master’s Degree in Psychological Services from the University of Pennsylvania and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan. Dr. Pickover sees patients on Mondays in our Farmington Hills location.
