Sean Spencer, M.S.W, L.M.S.W is a licensed clinical social worker who has extensive training and experience working with children, adolescents, and families.

Through his experience, Sean has served the Metro Detroit area via intensive counseling and crisis management services aimed at supporting children, adolescents, and families in a multitude of settings including the home and residential treatment.
Sean has an expansive range of skills to assist with a large variety of challenges. Areas of specialty include depression, anxiety, anger management, emotional regulation, social skills, hoarding, self-esteem, self-harm, defiance, and parenting strategies.
With an emphasis on family connection, Sean utilizes a variety of approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, exposure therapy, family therapy, art therapy, and play therapy.
Sean earned his Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work degrees from Wayne State University. Prior to his clinical experience, Sean began his dedication to serving children and families through summer camp and child care programs. In his free time, Sean is an avid fan of movies, music, video games, comic book heroes, and language.
