Lauren Krzyzaniak, MA, LLPC is a limited licensed professional counselor and a full time teletherapist at CFSC. Her specialties include treatment of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, anger management, behavior challenges and family issues. Additionally, she has extensive experience in the treatment of trauma. Lauren utilizes treatment modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) approaches. She has advanced training in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR), synergetic play therapy, child-parent relationship therapy (CPRT), motivational interviewing, and expressive arts therapy.
Prior to returning to her home state of Michigan, Lauren worked as a child and family therapist in the state of Washington. She has worked in a variety of settings including community-based outpatient mental health, schools, adolescent residential treatment, and a child advocacy center.
Lauren received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Saginaw Valley State University and her Master of Arts in Professional Mental Health Counseling from Lewis & Clark College. As she meets her hours requirement in Michigan, Lauren works under the direct supervision of Dr. Sheri Pickover.
