Kathleen Boyes, Ph.D., L.P.C., is a fully licensed professional counselor who specializes in children, adolescents, and families. Dr. Boyes has over 20 years of experience working with children adolescents, and adults in multiple settings, including outpatient, inpatient, residential and schools. She specializes in providing treatment to oppositional and defiant children and adolescents, blended families, ADHD, anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and adoption issues. She utilizes evidenced based approaches including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing.
Dr. Boyes earned a bachelors degree in science from Northern Michigan University. She received a MA and PhD in Counseling from Wayne State University. She also holds certifications in Infant Mental Health and Clinical Supervision. She is a proud parent of 4 children.
